Details: A neuron scientist and her husband discover a black and white 16mm film in the basement of a dilapidated hospital. The film documents underground experiments on a part of the human brain called the Sylvian fissure in an attempt to achieve insight into the "forbidden territory" - an invisible reality achieved by neither life nor death. Obsessed with this surreal concept, the surgeon tries to reconstruct what she saw by recreating the experiment... starting by her own daughters!
