It's a delicate balance, rarely pulled off as masterfully as on Come To Where I'm From. Lines like "In The Sun"'s "I know I would apologise if I could see your eyes, 'cos when you showed me myself, I became someone else" might allude to a subject without spelling it out in foot high letters, but the aching melodies, haunting vocals and acoustic strains leave no doubt that this is a man searching the darkest corners of his soul. By the sound of "Ashes Everywhere", "Invisible Hands" and "Creation Or A Stain", what he finds on those voyages isn't always easy to deal with, but it's still a touching and beautiful journey.
