The standout is "Fly, Fly My Sadness," a mesmerizing collaboration between the Bulgarian Women's Choir and Tuva's throat-singing Huun-Huur-Tu. But the rest doesn't fall far behind, with more ethereal music from the Bulgarian Women's Choir, plainsong from Sarband, and some stunning solo vocal work from the late Hamlet Gonashvili of Georgia. The Korean-German mix of Yoon/Bunka Earborn leans toward the avant-garde layering of voices, while the upbeat singing smile of Tab'Echo'Tam recalls nothing so much as a hipper Swingle Singers. But at its best, this record is a journey into the human spirit, and it's impossible not to be pulled along with it. That something as basic as the vocal cords can achieve so much, and create such wonderful art, is nothing less than miraculous. --Chris Nickson

UPC: 616498100124

EAN: 0616498100124

Binding: Audio CD

Item Condition: UsedVeryGood
