Or why Maria-Joao Pires's performance of Schubert's Impromptu, Op. 90, No. 3 in G-flat major, is a tearjerker and not a Stressbuster (as another disc in this series is dubbed). Of course, such reasoning is too sophisticated for this context. The decent performances here feature music by Chopin, Puccini, Donizetti, Tchaikovsky, and others.
