The scientists from the future and the combined power of the other Steel Angels can't stop Kurumi; only the bond she and Nakahito share can overcome the demonic forces. The ending exalts the power of love over evil, but the suggestions of a sexual relationship between the overripe Kurumi and the barely pubescent Nakahito are not for the squeamish.
